Ah. Zen has never made sense to me, but recently I think I realized what it was all about (with the help of Huxley). I'm just having trouble putting it into words. It deals with realizing the fallacy of all language, though. Then again, I could be wrong.

This is a question that I have fought with most of my life. For me it is a matter of chaos vrs order. If the universe and everything in it was to be governed by perfect law and order, causality, then free will would be nothing more than an illusion. God that sounds gnostic.

...So, in order for there to be free will in a system of rules and order, chaos must be built into the system as well. Does the chaos exist out side of ourself. Is life chaos inside of order and thus allowing free will?

Not an answer nor is there an answer.
